Troubleshooting Tips

Why can’t my student or I log into the program?

Please make sure make sure that you and your students are properly rostered in the course.  If you are using ClassLink or Clever to log in, please consult with IT support at your district to make sure that the student has the Language Tree Online application in his or her profile.

If you are doing self-rostering, make sure you follow the correct steps to enroll users.  Also, check to make sure the student is using the correct URL and entering the correct user name and password.

In most cases, the URL will be:

What if I forgot my password or username?

If you are signing in directly through our URL and not through Clever or ClassLink, you can reset your password by clicking on the Forgotten Your Username or Password link on the login screen. You will be prompted to enter your user name or email and we will send over a link to reset your password.

Why can’t my student move on to the next lesson in the module?

In order to progress to the next lesson, the student has to get at least 80% of the questions correct in the interactive exercises.  This prevents student from jumping around the program without completing the previous lesson or fully grasping the concepts taught.

My students are getting an error page after they submit an answer.

Try to refresh the page and see if that solves the problem. If your student can reproduce this error page, please send a screenshot, and let us know where you were in the course preceding the receipt of this error page and the approximate time when this occurred so that we can troubleshoot.

The program is running slow / the video is continually buffering.

Poor performance is usually due to local connection issues. Please make sure that the classroom or home has sufficient Wi-Fi resources/adequate bandwidth for supporting streaming media.
